Outreach – Time, Treasure, Talent
Through the efforts of both the Outreach Committee and individual members, Good Shepherd seeks to bring the good news of God's mercy to those in need in the world beyond our parish. Individual grants this year have gone to the Epiphany School in West Roxbury, which serves children from Boston's poorest neighborhoods and to Neighborhood Action, which serves the homeless. In addition, particular projects include: providing meals for Rosie's Place, a shelter for women and children; supporting B-Safe, an after school and summer enrichment program for children in the inner city of Boston; and contributing to an AIDS testing and care center in Tanzania.
We welcome new volunteers, as well as, new members for our Outreach Committee. Join us as we explore the meaning of giving.
Pastoral Care
The clergy of Good Shepherd are always on call to bring counsel, encouragement, and the sacraments to our parishioners.
Members of the parish also serve on a Parish Care Committee, which offers emotional, spiritual, and practical help to parishioners who be may be facing illness, debilitation, or loss.
